Cyber Sled

Cyber Sled is a 1993 vehicular combat arcade game developed by Namco. Players pilot colorful, hovercraft-style tanks in futuristic arenas, battling opponents for prestige and glory. The game can be played in third-person or first-person perspective and was nominated for Most Innovative New Technology at the 1994 AMOA Awards.

Players choose from eight tanks, each with unique attributes like speed and durability. Tanks are equipped with two analog joysticks: one for firing bullets (which can overheat) and the other for launching limited missiles. The arena features destructible obstacles and power-ups, including enhanced radar, extra missiles, and shield recharges.

Cyber Sled was followed by the sequel Cyber Commando in 1994 and remains a standout for its engaging gameplay and innovative mechanics.
