Belleville 19-Year-Old Charged with Drug Paraphernalia
• 1 AM Arrest in Nutley
Jun 30, 2012 – A 19-year-old Belleville man caught with two bags of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia was arrested shortly before 1 a.m. last Monday, Nutley police reported today.
A patrol officer stopped Nicholas Napatono for a traffic infraction and discovered a strong odor of marijuana emanating from his vehicle. Further investigation by the officer recovered two bags of marijuana and paraphernalia.
Napatono was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was also issued a motor vehicle summonses and released pending a court hearing.
Police Director Alphonse Petracco said regardless of how drugs are located and recovered, the Nutley Police Dept. has set a zero tolerance and is continuing with enhanced drug enforcement. Chief John Holland commended the officer for his assertiveness and has Public Safety Director Petracco .
