Nutley Little League Tryouts Sunday, Feb. 26
• For American and Nutley East Teams
Feb 10, 2012 – Tryouts for both the Nutley American and the Nutley East Little League will be conducted separately on Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Nutley Parks and Recreation Gym, 44 Park Avenue. All players aged 9 to 12 years old must try out to be eligible to play in the Majors (birth date must fall between May 1, 1999 and April 30, 2003).
The American Little League tryouts will be scheduled from 12 noon until 2:30 p.m. Late registration for the American League will also be accepted at this time. The American League encompasses the area of Nutley from Prospect Street and west to the Parkway.
Tryouts for the Nutley East Little League will run from 3 to 5:30 p.m. for all players League age 9 to 12 wishing to play on a Major League team. All players League age 8, and in second grade or higher, or League age 9 years old who do not wish to play in the majors for the 2012 season should come to the second session tryout from 6-7:30 p.m. That session will be used as an evaluation for balancing the Minor League teams.
Late registration for the Nutley East Little League will also be accepted during this time. The Nutley East encompasses the area of Nutley from River Road and west up to, but not including Prospect Street.
