Board of Education 2010 Election Results
• Voters Choose Reid, Kuczinski,Kuchta
Jul 2, 2010 – Apr 20, 2010 - Candidates Charles Kucinski, Dr. Robert Reid and James Kucha tonight were elected by wide margins to the Nutley Board of Education. Incumbents Dr. Phil Casale and Angelo Frannicola both lost by about 2,000 votes. With all districts reporting, here are the final counts: Dr. Robert Reid 3,687, Charles Kuczinski 3,544, James Kuchta 3,142, Dr. Phil Casale 1,450,and Angelo Frannicola, 1418.
The final decision on the budget could rest with 12 provisional ballots now in possession of Essex County. Officials in Nutley tonight said those provision ballots won't be counted until sometime tomorrow (Wednesday.) The budget vote presently stands at 2,481 no votes, 2,473 yes.
The tallies above were counted by school officials located in the Nutley High School cafeteria. A parallel count was competed at Town Hall.
