Apr 18, 2010 – Nutley Little Theatre's current production of the Neil Simon comedy "London Suite" closes this coming weekend with 8 p.m. performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday and also a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. There is also a 2 p.m. matinee today (Sunday, April 18.)
Directed by Vicky Chalk of Nutley, the cast includes Evan Blank of Edgewater, Elizabeth Camaraza of Kearny, David Chullanandana of Belleville, Honor Friberg of Weehawken, Kirsten Greene of Jersey City, Barbara McCarthy of Montclair, Ian Murphy of Weehawken, Catherine Pulley of Jersey City, Melissa Sandberg of Little Falls, Miles Tepper of Montclair and Bob Verbrugge of Parsippany.
Tickets are $15, with a $3 discount for senior citizens and students. Patrons can order tickets by calling 1-877-238-5596, or online through the NLT web site at www.nutleylittletheatre.com (click on the "Click for Tix" icon).
In the tradition of Simon's earlier plays, "Plaza Suite" and "California Suite," "London Suite" tells four different stories, all taking place in the same suite of a London hotel. Expect Simon's usual combination of drama and comedy, laced with his classic witty and sharp dialogue. We meet (among others) a swindling financial advisor, a middle-aged actress and her bisexual ex-husband, and a couple struggling to claim their seats at the Wimbledon finals.
Nutley Little Theatre stages its productions at the NLT Barn, 47 Erie Place, Nutley, located off Brookfield Avenue (one block east of Franklin Avenue) in the heart of the Erie Place Historic District. For directions, please see www.nutleylittletheatre.com.
