Dec 1, 2009 – Thank you, Nutley. I still find it hard to believe that a routine overnight hospital test scheduled a month ago turned into an unexpected triple heart by-pass operation. I'm recovering at home where I'm likely to spend the better part of the holiday season. I can't possibly respond to the more than 2,500 cards and emails wishing me well and offering encouragement. I have saved them all and will never forget these cheerful expressions from so many neighbors and friends.
Today we finally have started to update the main news page of NJHometown News. Our intention is to provide updates and new articles on a daily basis. However, full news coverage will be somewhat curtailed until we are able to muster some citizen reporters and hire part-time professional help including photographers. A few ambitious folks adept at advertising sales would also help.
In the meantime, continue to send us your press releases and community announcements along with event photos and even your letters of criticism. And don't forget items for the soon-to-be-updated community calendar. - God Bless Nutley, it's truly a great town.
