Sunday Worship Services

Vincent United Methodist Church will gather for worship this Sunday morning, May 19, at 10 a.m. on Asscention Sunday, Anniversary Sunday and Confirmation Sunday. In celebration of the 183rd Anniversary of the Church, there will be a time of recogniton for all of the churche's 50-year members.

The Chancel Choir will sing and the Wesley Ringers will play.

Rev. LeDuc will share a children's sermon, give the homily "Journal On!"and lead in the Service of Confirmation, as five youth make their profession of faith in Jesus Christ and become members of the church.

Every Sunday professional nursery care and Church School for the children is available during the worship hour and a time of fellowship and a time of fellowship and refreshments follows the service.

Habitat for Humanity Tool Drive

Habitat Newark is growing and building more low income homes in more locations than ever before. To accomplish their goals Habitat needs more tools and supplies. Vincent Church is holding a Tool Drive on Saturday morning, May 19 from 10-11:30 a.m. New or gently used tools like the following would be welcome: hammers hand saw levels, squares, circular saws, sawzalls, step ladders, heavy duty extension cords, and more. Coins for Katanga

During May, the children of Vincent Church will be collecting coins to support the purchase of a new plane for "Wings of the Morning." For many years "Wings of the Morning" has transported people with life-threatening injuries or illnesses from rural areas by plane to hospitals for free.

The Katanga region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo has very few good roads and many lives have been saved by this aviation ministry. The new plane will run on regular gas and be able to transport more people for less cost. Donations of any kind can be made to the Church Office from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on weekdays.

Used Cell Phone Drive
Grace Church is collecting used cell phones including chargers and accessories if available. The phones will be recycled into emergency 911 phones. The drive benefits outreach work of the parish including the recipients. The environment benefits by keeping toxic materials out of landfills. Phones can be dropped off anytime at the church office.
